At the factory you will almost only find machines dating back to prior to 1950. However, a few of the machines, such as the calendar and the cutting machine, used in the production are of a more recent date.
You can still see the older machine models, either at the museum or in the factory hall. Many of these machines will still function, but are simply too old and worn. Others are taken out of production due to health or environment considerations. At the cardboard factory it is a goal to have all machines in operational condition, but to find spare parts for machines almost 100 years old can be very difficult or almost impossible. Therefore, some of the machines become spare part stock for the other machines.
